Colon cleansing is the process of removing fecal matter and unwanted toxins from the colon and intestines.  This can be done in two ways: colon hydrotherapy (also known as colonics) and oral cleaning regimes.

Colon cleansing serves several purposes and has many benefits.  Colon cleansers remove nasty toxins, fecal build up, and other noxious substances from the body.  The buildup of these poisons in the body restricts the absorption of nutrients into the body, causing a myriad of health problems.

COLONIC HYDROTHERAPY

Colon hydrotherapy is similar to an enema in that water is deposited into the colon via the rectum several times (unlike an enema which is only once) in order to clean the colon.  You can purchase a colon cleansing kit and do the procedure at home, or you can visit a clinic which specializes in colonics.

ORAL CLEANING REGIMES

There are many oral cleaning regimes out there including herbal, prescription, and over-the-counter colon cleansing programs.

There are also colon cleansing diets ranging from water-only fasts to teas and food combinations.
