<p>When such a high percentage of the people are overweight it seems fitting that there is significant number of the population who are extremely image conscious. Perhaps this is in part to those health magazine covers with men and women who have desirable, health and fit looking bodies. Health clubs, gyms and many others have as a consequence become much busier and the trend looks to continue.</p>
<p>On television, exercise machines, weight loss products, and other paraphernalia to improve fitness have made a huge impression on the audiences whose homes they invade on a daily basis. The other crucial part to this equation though is the need for every single one of us to watch what we eat and also the amount as there is s direct correlation between weight gain and the volume of food consumed by the average person. It is the food we eat in our diet and fitness program that will encourage a healthy body, as exercise will not restore damaged muscles or keep you healthy. What does not help the average person is what diet-fitness regime to follow as both seem to make sense; there is the one that says eat foods with high carbohydrate levels and the other which says you need to eat foods with a high fat content which appears to contradict everything we are told about dieting.</p>
<p>To understand this better you need to know that the high-carbohydrate followers believe that you need to eat foods rich in carbohydrates to exercise well and the opposition believe you need to consume foods high in fat. High-carb diets are utilized with glycogen stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen is a glucose complex that provides large amounts of energy ready for use in anaerobic exercises.</p>
<p>The problem is the high-fat followers have an equally convincing argument because they say that fat is a much richer source of calories than foods rich in carbohydrates and that it metabolizes much faster. So a person can follow a high-carb and low fat fitness diet or the other way around but it is not recommended to follow both at the same time; unless of course if you want to gain body fat.</p>
<p>If your aim is to lose body fat then you will need to stick to a diet fitness routine but remember this is not just a short term goal. What many studies have shown is that to achieve this goal you need to have a number of factors considered like you&#8217;re your previous medical history, the way you live your live from day to day and a consideration of the foods you like to consume.</p>
<p>Just losing weight is not the issue as many overweight individuals manage to do this but if the diet does not suit them they pile it all back on, so the trick is to organize a diet that exactly fits your needs and maintain a moderation to what you eat. A person must be careful not to leave out important nutrients plus other substances necessary for healthy body functioning and health organizations are clear about the amounts of nutrients an individual should have in the body.</p>

<p>I wrote lately about altering your training variables when you workout so you are not permanently doing the same old routine. This is a crucial consideration if you would like to get reliable leads to gaining muscle, losing fat or just toning up your body in general fat loss.</p>
<p>However if you vary your workout routine very often and radically, then you may get bad results and all your attempts will be wasted. If you are not making an attempt to improve in a regular way on a specific set of reps and rest intervals, then your body cannot get used to the varied regime and has no basis on which to build in order to boost its condition. So, you&#8217;ve got to paste at a current specific training method for a period so you can see the result. Usually a time of 4-8 weeks works best. That gives your body time to conform to the technique you are using and you will get the results you want.</p>
<p>Time not a change- but not a complete change! If you are getting a plateau, say after 6 -8 weeks, then you&#8217;ll have to think about varying your whole routine and introduce new variables, for fat loss. When you have decided on these you&#8217;ll have to stay with them for another period of 4-8 weeks. Just in case you have not not read my article on training variables, these are some of the main points I wrote about. The order in which you do your exercises. You can change round the order &#8211; it&#8217;ll make life more engaging ! Then you can consider changing the exercise grouping &#8211; that is, whether you wish to do tri-sets, super-setting or circuit training. You can believe altering the exercise TYPE &#8211; i.e. Whether machine based or free weights. How about your strength base &#8211; you can alter to standing, sitting, one-legged a strength ball, . Then there are restore fat loss periods amid sets, repetition speed and exercise angle ( inclined, dropped, flat or bent over ). Last but not least, you may want to alter the length of your workout and vary also the regularity &#8211; two longer sessions or 3 shorter sessions and so on.</p>
<p>Maximize Your Fat Loss By Varying Your Routine IN A Consistent Way. For example, this is the training program you do now. Six dissimilar exercises which are grouped together in pairs &#8211; these are complete as supersets. You do ten sets of 3 reps with thirty seconds rest linking each superset. You are taking note in your notepad of the weights utilized, sets and reps so that you can see the improvement you are making. But, after 6 weeks, you discover that you have found a plateau, then it is time to switch some of the variables I have discussed above and stick with that program for another 4-8 weeks and see how you are doing.</p>
<p>So how do your change the program I have printed above? Go for a classic five sets of five routine but this time you&#8217;re going to them in tri-sets. That means three exercises done back to back and then repeated for the number of sets. You can resolve to do the exercises in the tri-set with no rest period involving them and then have arrest for 2 minutes between each tri-set so that you can recover your strength and allow fat loss.</p>

<p>Body sculpting may be a new phrase but adjusting your body to suit your own idea of how it should look is nothing new, it is just some people can&#8217;t wait and try to rush the process. They want to rush the process by any means and the consequences don&#8217;t seem to matter. To some of these people they see their only choice as involving rapid weight loss methods, which are often over-rated.</p>
<p>Fast-track diets are one of these rapid weight loss practices which may not be as inviting as they seem according to research. These rapid weight loss programs only seem to be of any use while someone remains on them as generally the pounds pile back on when as soon as they are stopped.</p>
<p>Using diet methods that involve low carbohydrate and low calorie diets do not last as a human cannot work efficiently with this sort of diet forever. Current scientific studies are also showing that there is every probability that in the majority of case, it is in fact water that is being lost from the system and not body fat.</p>
<p>Usually, this lost water will return so no weight loss has really been experienced and there is always the danger from other side effects as well. Experts agree that the most amount of fat that can generally be lost in a week is two and while three is possible, it is also unlikely but the possibility of dehydration cannot be ignored.</p>
<p>You may have heard of slimming soap, a new discovery which contains herbs and seaweed, and while taking a bath the soap emulsifies the body fats when it is applied. The ingredients may prove to improve the quality of the skin but no research has ever come up yet which aids to prove the efficacy of these ingredients in emulsifying excess body fats.</p>
<p>Sometimes it feels as if there is a new rapid weight loss product every week and just to add to the list is a product that promises to speed up a person&#8217;s metabolism and suppress the hunger desire all at the same time. The magnetic weight loss earring is also meant to eliminate some body pains as well as increase the body&#8217;s ability to heal itself.</p>
<p>Apparently the magnetism in the earrings helps to keep the body&#8217;s own magnetic field synchronized and so the other benefits should be expected. To date, no evidence to support this has been submitted to any health or medical journals despite a number of press releases making these bold claims.</p>
<p>Another way to manager your weight is to do a colon cleanse.  Over time, toxins and mucous buildup along the intestinal walls and colon, causing gas, bloating, constipation, and weight gain.  To reset your system, you should have a colon cleanse or go on a colon cleansing diet annually.</p>
<p>The truth is where you find rapid weight loss; you will also find rapid weight gain, there is never any gain without the pain to go with it so just remember the old adage that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.</p>

Weight loss like this is not healthy as we all require specific vitamins and nutrients in our food to maintain our health.</p>
<p>Following a healthy weight loss program is all about what you eat and how much of it as if you consume more calories in a day than you use and this is done regularly, you will put on weight. You must never underestimate the importance of sleep to stay healthy in the same way that we all need daily exercise.</p>
<p>Surprisingly, many women&#8217;s periodicals sell on their diet sections which quite often promote the latest healthy weight loss program which just happens to feature eating one type of food, claiming this will do the dieter no harm. A particular &#8216;restrictive&#8217; healthy diet that was favored for a while was the chicken, boiled vegetables, fruit and salad one that did not by any means supply all the daily nutrients our bodies need even though all of the foods were actually healthy.</p>
<p>Of course if you were to follow such a diet for any length of time you would not want to eat chicken again as it becomes boring and then you will rebel against a healthy food. The basis of healthy weight loss and maintenance is by removing high calorie foodstuffs from our diets and maintaining regular exercise in addition to good sleep patterns.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t ignore the quality of the night&#8217;s rest, since it tells much about your general physical and emotional condition as it is not uncommon for overweight people to wake up in the middle of the night and tuck in. This is a true crime against your body system because once you&#8217;re on a healthy, active diet; a lot of your energy will be consumed during physical exercises together with accumulated stress and anxiety.</p>
<p>Following the healthy weight loss system will definitely improve your sleep patterns, energy level and overall health. You must also keep a positive attitude to what you are doing by not being to critical of your progress as this can have a damaging effect on your self confidence and weight loss. It is very easy to become disheartened if you carry out the same exercises everyday so vary them otherwise boredom will set in and you will start to lose interest in your weight loss. <p>Eating healthy can be easy and simple to implement. Once you start making choices that are healthy and incorporate the habit into your life, it becomes second nature and you won&#8217;t have to think about it much again. Make sure you always have healthy food choices available and the rest is a piece of cake.</p>
<p>Eating healthy is also beneficial for the colon and intestinal tract.  Eating lots of raw fruits and vegetables naturally scrub away mucoid buildup along the colon and intestinal walls.  This help with gas, bloating, and constipation and gets your system back on track.</p>
<p>A meal or snack needs to incorporate a proper balance between a protein, carbohydrate and fat.</p>
<p>What have you established for your caloric consumption needs? I know for myself, that if I want to lose weight, my caloric intake cannot exceed 1200 per day. If I&#8217;m trying to maintain my current weight, I should not eat anymore than 1500 calories per day.</p>
<p>Once you figure out how many calories you should be eating, you then need to divide them out over 5-6 small meals/snacks throughout the day. Remember that the meals/snacks should compliment each other with a adequate balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fats. Let me give you an example of these choices to make during the day.</p>
<p>I should quickly mention something about portion sizes. Do you know what a serving of protein looks like? No, it&#8217;s not the 16 ounce Prime Rib at your local steak house. A portion of protein is 3 ounces, the size of a woman&#8217;s palm.</p>
<p>SEVERAL VISUAL EXAMPLES OF DIFFERENT FOOD PORTIONS:</p>
<p>* 1 medium fruit &#8212; tight fist or tennis ball</p>
<p>* 1/2 cup of rice, pasta, cooked cereal, fruit, or veggie &#8212; cupcake size or tight fist</p>
<p>* 1 cup of raw salad &#8212; the amount you can hold in two hands cupped together.</p>
<p>* 1 medium baked potato &#8212; computer mouse</p>
<p>* 1 cup of cold cereal &#8212; large handful or tight fist</p>
<p>* 3 ounces of poultry, meat or fish &#8212; palm of a woman&#8217;s hand or deck of cards</p>
<p>* 1 ounce of cheese &#8212; 4 dice or the top half of your thumb</p>
<p>* 1 ounce of fish, meat, chicken or poultry &#8212; 1 egg</p>
<p>* 1 tsp &#8212; the tip of a medium-framed woman&#8217;s thumb. Also, 3 tsp is equal to 1 tbsp.</p>
<p>BREAKFAST:</p>
<p>A good breakfast is key to starting your day off right. Skipping breakfast is a surefire way to setting ourselves up for failure to maintain level blood sugars. I suggest keeping breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the same calorie count and then adding two smaller snacks between meals.</p>
<p>Choose an item from each of the food groups for a healthy balanced breakfast.</p>
<p>Protein:  1 cup nonfat milk, 1 hard boiled egg, 1 oz of low fat cheese, 1 cup low fat yogurt</p>
<p>Carbohydrate:  granola bar, 1 slice of whole grain toast, bagel or muffin, 1/2 cup of whole grain cereal or oatmeal.</p>
<p>Fruit:  1/2 banana, small apple, orange, grapefruit,  3/4 cup of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries</p>
<p>LUNCH AND DINNER:</p>
<p>Preparing lunch and dinner is very simple.  Pick a lean protein, add some vegetables and top it off with some fruit for dessert.</p>
<p>Choose an item from each of the food groups for a healthy balanced lunch or dinner.</p>
<p>Protein:  Chicken, fish, turkey, lean beef, pork, beans, etc.</p>
<p>Vegetable:  Cauliflower, green beans, spinach, zucchini, broccoli, and salad greens, etc.  For a serving size, fill about 1/2 of your plate with vegetables,  1/4 of your plate with healthy carbohydrates, and the other quarter with a lean protein.</p>
<p>Carbohydrate:  Sweet potatoes, white potatoes, brown rice, corn, 1 slice of whole grain bread etc.</p>
<p>Dessert:  1/2 cup of strawberries or raspberries with a dollop of nonfat whipped topping, pear, apple, 1/2 banana.</p>
<p>SNACKS:</p>
<p>Snacks between meals are what make or break the weight loss.  You need to maintain your metabolism in between meals so that you continue to burn calories throughout the day.  For your snack, consume between 100 to 125 calories.</p>
<p>Choose an item from each of the food groups for a healthy balanced snack.</p>
<p>Protein: 1/4 cup of low fat cottage cheese, low fat string cheese, hard boiled egg, small yogurt cup, 1 oz. low sodium, low fat luncheon meat.</p>
<p>Carbohydrate:  1 slice of whole grain bread, 1/2 banana, apple, grapes, plum, baby carrots, etc.</p>
<p>Healthy fats:  Handful of almonds, walnuts cashews or mixed nuts, 1 slice of avocado, 2 tbsp of peanut butter.</p>
<p>This is easy!  Remember, these are just guidelines for healthy foods.  You do not have to eat the same thing every day.  There are so many more foods then what I listed here but be creative. Make healthy choices that are exciting. Try a new fruit and vegetable every week. Remember, this is easy!</p>
