Learn How To Massage The Colon
The human body comes into contact with toxins and chemicals from the food that we eat, such as pesticides from produce or chemical additions that are found in ready-to-eat foods. These toxins build up over time and clog the colon causing bloating, constipation, fatigue, moodiness, poor digestion, skin problems, or even sluggishness. These are instances when you should massage the colon.
A properly performed colon massage can help the muscles of the colon to move wastes smoothly. It relieves constipation, removes wastes and toxins in the body, but it also strengthens and tones your entire colon, including the Ileocecal Valve which allows wastes to transfer from the small intestine to the colon.
You can find someone who knows how to massage the colon or you can do it yourself. Lie flat on your bed or on the floor. Apply massage oil to keep your stomach lubricated. Position your fingers on the right side of the abdomen, where the appendix is located. Using circular motions, work your fingers up toward the rib cage in a clockwise direction. Once you reach the rib cage, massage your way down the left side of the abdomen. Slowly increase the pressure. Pay attention to any pain or discomfort using gentle pressure.
The massage should last a few minutes. If there is tenderness in a specific spot, go see your doctor. You can massage the colon as often as you’d like to help normalize your bowel movements and remove toxic build-up.
