There are various ways for the intestinal parasites to go in and contaminate the digestive tract. Poorly handled and ill-prepared food whether uncooked, undercooked or unwashed is one way. Drinking infected water is another method. Playing in playgrounds and sandboxes with parasite-infested soil is yet another means of transmission.
