A colon cleanse and boy detoxification diet is a short term fast in order to expel the nasty toxins and chemicals from the body.  The diet usually consists of raw fruits and vegetables and fruit juice. That’s it.

It is also good to avoid certain foods after the cleanse, and slowly eliminate them from your diet altogether.  These foods are sugar, red meat, white flour, dairy, and caffeine.

I have had a lot of stomach problem during my life, but they worsened after living in Brazil for two years.  I changed my diet dramatically, eliminating sugar, white flour, dairy, red meat, pork, and all processed food from my diet.  It was tough because it didn’t leave much else to eat, but I have never felt better in my life.  The change in diet, along with the combination of colon cleansing herbs, has solved 99% of my stomach pain and discomfort.

HOW TO CLEANSE THE BODY

There are many colon cleansing programs out there.  Some programs follow a 7-day detoxification diet which researchers say the body requires in order to purify itself. One such program is a fasting program on different types of liquids for a couple of days. This is followed by a 5-day diet, which helps in resting the digestive system. Other detoxifying programs allow the use of exercise, herbs, supplements and hydrotherapy practices that help in enhancing blood circulation.

1. Increase the intake of fiber in your diet regularly. Foods high in fiber are brown rice, fresh vegetables and fruits, artichokes, broccoli, chloral, spirulina, seaweed and radish. All these foods are very helpful in the detoxification process.

2. Consume herbs such as green tea, burdock, dandelion root and milk thistle. These foods help in protecting and cleansing the liver.

3. Vitamin C is useful and helpful in the production of glutathione, an excellent liver compound, which helps in keeping the toxins away.

4. Drink plenty of water every day.  Normally, you’re supposed to drink half your body weight in ounces in water (ie: if you weigh 150 pounds drink 75 ounces of water).  While on a body detox, you need to drink MORE than that.

5.  Breathe deeply. This increases the flow of oxygen throughout the body.

6. Hydrotherapy: The process involves taking a shower with hot water for five minutes. This allows the water to move on the back part of the body. You may follow this procedure with a cold water bath for around 30 seconds. Repeat this process three times and relax for 30 minutes in your bed.

7. Take a sauna bath, which will make you sweat, thus helping to eliminate the toxic waste from the body in the form of perspiration.
